ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/24/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts • Every other weekend schedule required • Patient ratios: 1:3-4 nights, 1:3 weekends, must be able to handle 1:5 to 1:7 ratio for MedSurg • Must have NY license in hand - no exceptions • Must be located 75 miles from facility (local rule) • 1 year of experience required • EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Float to ICU or MS units as needed • 24 hours of orientation provided • Scrub color: any combination of navy and white • Skills include: cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, respiratory care (nasal cannula, oxygen masks), central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration), isolation precautions • Care for adult and geriatric patients with continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring • Manage patients requiring airway management, BIPAP support, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated IV infusions • First time travelers accepted • Pre-approved time off: one occurrence allowed Facility: This tertiary care hospital features 528 staffed beds and operates a 26-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) that serves as a critical care step-down unit. The facility provides evidence-based care to patients from various areas including the Emergency Department, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and medical-surgical floors. The IMCU specializes in caring for adult acute care patients requiring more specialized monitoring than general medical-surgical units can provide, with a focus on pulmonary patients and various medical diagnoses. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services.
