Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM • Weekend, holiday, and on-call duties required with 30-minute response time • 13-week assignment starting March 2nd • 100-mile radius rule applies • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required • Current NYS RN license or eligible required • BLS certification required, ACLS preferred • Minimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred • Must complete and pass final exam as mandatory condition of employment • Knowledge of typical clinical equipment and instrumentation for OR/ASU setting required • Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills required • Must recognize safety issues and implement safe patient lifting techniques • Ability to function well in stressful situations with creative problem-solving skills • Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate • May be required to assume charge nurse duties • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required • Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs Facility: This medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services with a focus on surgical care through their operating room and ambulatory surgery unit.
