Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,222 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Rochester, New York, 14626! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year required License: NY License required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - MS/Tele experience - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Use of Rapid Response Teams - Peripheral line care/management - Oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management - Familiarity with isolation precautions - Epic charting experience Description: This position involves working in a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. The nurse-to-patient ratios during the day/evening shifts are typically 5 to 1. Night shift ratios are expected to be 6 to 7 to 1, potentially stretching to 8 to 10 if staffing shortages occur. Patient Care Technicians assist with vital signs, blood glucose checks, and activities of daily living. An in-house phlebotomy team is available for all peripheral lab draws. Nursing responsibilities include managing PICC lines and central lines. The role requires the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Rapid response team activation training is necessary. Floater nurses may be required for unit needs. Candidates must be willing to accommodate block scheduling if possible. No local candidates will be accepted from within a 75-mile radius. The position requires familiarity with cardiac patient care. Travel nursing experience is highly valued.
