Locums Cardiovascular Surgery PA No Call Syracuse, NY Why This Role Weekday-only schedule supporting work-life balance Operating room-focused cardiac surgery role with consistent first-assist duties Defined coverage period filling a temporary paternity leave need Assignment Details Start Date 2/1/2026 End Date 5/1/2026 Coverage Type No call Schedule Monday through Friday, 7:00a-5:00p Practice Setting Hospital-based cardiac surgery with primary OR focus and some ICU and floor coverage Patient Population Adult Average Daily Volume Varies Supervising Physician On site EMR Epic Clinical Details Cardiovascular surgery PA coverage primarily in the operating room First-assist support for cardiac surgical procedures Chest tube insertion and postoperative management Harvest and retrieval of vascular tissue for bypass conduits Participation in ICU and inpatient floor coverage as needed Optional call participation available for providers comfortable managing ICU patients remotely Requirements Certification NCCPA certified State License Active New York PA license required BLS required ACLS required Cardiac surgery operating room experience required First-assist and vein harvest experience required Robotic surgery experience preferred Clean history Compensation Rates Facility is accepting bids Malpractice Provided Travel Reimbursed
