ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/24/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - MICU Job Details: • Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend requirement • Must have New York license in hand to submit • Must be over 75 mile radius (locals not accepted) • First time travelers accepted • EPIC charting experience is required • 2 years of experience required • Patient ratio 1:2 with occasional 1:1 based on acuity • 36 hours of orientation provided • One pre-approved time off allowed • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Care for 16-bed unit with patients including sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management, respiratory failure/shock • Work with specialized equipment including CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, Impella • Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilated patient care, ABG interpretation, suctioning, isolation precautions • Floating required within facility • Adult and geriatric patient population • Complete pre-start modules (up to 5 billable hours) Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center with an 18-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit that provides critical care services for complex medical conditions. The unit maintains comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support to ensure comprehensive patient care.
