Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work in a 14-bed overflow unit designed to accommodate ED boarder patients • Med/Surg telemetry unit with flexible space that may increase or decrease based on demand • Patient ratios: 5:1 during days, 7:1 during nights • Every other weekend coverage required with 4 weekend shifts per contract • Float requirements as needed throughout the facility • Care for adult and geriatric patient populations • 12 hours of orientation provided • Navy blue and white scrubs required • 1 year of nursing experience required • Previous charge experience preferred • EPIC charting system experience required • Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS • Essential skills include: MS/Tele experience, IV placement competency, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, rapid response/code team utilization, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions • New York state nursing license required for submission • Must live outside 75-mile radius of facility • Unit accepts first-time travelers • Pre-start modules required (up to 5 billable hours) Facility: This healthcare facility operates a specialized overflow unit within their GI Endoscopy space to accommodate emergency department boarder patients.
