Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year License: New York license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Must-Have: Must have New York license in hand. First-time travelers accepted. Locals must be within a 75-mile radius. Experience with a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for Med-Surg patients. EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement. Description: The position requires care for acute stroke patients and other neurological disorders alongside acute medical patients. The unit practices an adjustable acuity delivery of care model. Evidence-based care is provided to facilitate and optimize stroke care during prevention and acute care phases. Professional skills needed include isolation precautions, cardiac monitoring, emergency response, IV therapy, and phlebotomy. Nasal cannula and other oxygen management techniques are required. Management of dysrhythmias and use of rapid response/code teams are essential. Peripheral line care and management are expected.
