Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/24/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel MedSurg/Telemetry RN Location New York, NY Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Day Shift: 4x12 Hours (07:00 - 19:00) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holidays: Must be available for some holidays Job Description The MedSurg/Telemetry RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical and telemetry unit. This position involves monitoring and managing patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, post-device care, and arrhythmias. Responsibilities - Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret dysrhythmias. - Manage care and treatment plans for assigned patients, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices. - Administer IV therapy and perform peripheral line care. - Provide respiratory support, including the use of nasal cannulas and face masks. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Participate in rapid response and code team interventions as needed. - Adhere to isolation precautions and hospital protocols. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in MedSurg/Telemetry. - Current NY RN License (in hand – no exceptions). - ACLS and BLS certifications required. - Experience with EPIC charting system is a must. - Ability to float to other units as required.
