of experience required License: Must have an active New York Single
State RN license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
Must-Have: EPIC charting experience required. Description: Position
available for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. Shift hours
are from 7 PM to 7 AM. Experience with adult emergency care is
essential. Weekend availability is required every other weekend.
Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed.
Experience with IV therapy, including blood product administration
and central line care, is necessary. Candidates must be capable of
managing IV vasopressors and ventilator care. Skills in
interpreting cardiac rhythms and emergency care for diverse
diagnoses are required. Floating within the skillset may be
required. This role involves working with a range of emergencies,
including trauma and critical care situations. The emergency unit
supports a variety of interdisciplinary services to enhance patient
care. All equipment used is designed for safe patient handling and
rapid response to emergencies. Daily responsibilities include
triage, providing care for stroke and neuro-trauma patients, and
applying isolation precautions. Staffing ratios are typically 1:5
for adults and geriatrics. This environment requires a thorough
understanding of emergency nursing protocols and procedures.
