with every-other-weekend requirement; day/evening ratios 5:1
(stretch 6-7), night ratios 6-7:1 (stretch 8-10) Highlights: -
20-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit specializing in cardiac and
stroke patient populations - Epic charting system with 4 hours of
paid orientation - Comprehensive support staff including PCTs,
in-house phlebotomy team, IV teams, and rapid response teams -
Patient care ratios supported by ancillary staff who handle vital
signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living -
First-time travelers welcome with a minimum of 1 year of recent
experience - No on-call requirements; limited time-off restrictions
outside of holidays Requirements: - Active New York RN license in
hand prior to submission (pending licenses not accepted) - Current
BLS certification required - Minimum 1 year of recent
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience - Epic charting
experience strongly preferred - Proficiency in interpretation and
management of dysrhythmias - Experience with peripheral line
care/management, oxygen administration (nasal cannula, face masks,
portable tanks), and non-invasive airway management - Knowledge of
isolation precautions and rapid response team activation -
Willingness to float within scope to Medical-Surgical, ICU, and
Emergency Department units as needed - Must reside outside 75-mile
radius from facility (local candidates not accepted) Why It's a
