Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour shifts
with every other weekend required; day shift ratios 5:1 (stretch to
6-7), night shift ratios 6-7:1 (stretch to 8-10); call as needed
Highlights: - Progressive medical-surgical/telemetry unit with
20-bed capacity caring for complex respiratory and cardiac patients
- EMR: Epic experience required - Comprehensive interdisciplinary
support including IV teams, phlebotomy, respiratory services, rapid
response teams, and pharmacy - Float within scope of practice; no
local candidates accepted (75-mile radius rule applies) - Patient
care technicians and in-house phlebotomy team provide robust
clinical support - 4-hour orientation with educator plus unit-based
training Requirements: - Active New York RN license (must be in
hand prior to submittal; pending licenses not accepted) - Current
BLS certification required - MS/Tele experience required;
PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience strongly preferred - Minimum 1 year
of recent RN experience - Epic charting experience is a hard
requirement - First-time travelers accepted - Proficiency in
dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols,
central/PICC line care, blood product administration, wound
care/wound vac, and management of ventilated patients - Experience
with specialized equipment including BIPAP, CPAP, high flow nasal
cannula, chronic ventilators, tracheostomies, and chest tubes Why
