Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/03/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN – New York Start Date: March 3, 2026 Location: Rochester, New York Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement; patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 Highlights: - 39-bed unit in a 528-bed tertiary care hospital specializing in post-PCI, pacemaker, AICD, and post-MI cardiac care - EPIC charting system required; BLS certification mandatory - 13-week assignment with 12 hours of paid orientation and up to 5 billable hours for pre-start modules - Float to medical-surgical units as needed; two pre-approved time-off periods available - Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more - Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response protocols essential Requirements: - Active New York RN license in hand at time of submission (no exceptions) - Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience with previous charge experience required - Prior travel nursing experience and EPIC charting experience mandatory - BLS certification current and valid - Experience with patient ratios up to 1:6 - Must reside more than 75 miles from facility location - Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and PICC line management, telemetry monitoring, and wound care Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join a specialized cardiac care team in a well-established tertiary care facility where you'll make a meaningful impact on patients recovering from complex cardiac interventions.
