Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, evenings - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Operating Room Surgical Technologist – New York Start Date: January 26, 2026 Location: Rochester, New York Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Block scheduling available (not guaranteed), call required, 14-bed surgical unit with 1:1 patient ratio Highlights: - Highly diverse surgical caseload including orthopedic total joint and trauma, neurosurgery, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic procedures - Work with advanced technology including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System - Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams - Epic charting system utilized throughout facility - Opportunity to scrub a wide range of specialties from bariatric and ENT to complex spine and microvascular free flaps - Professional development in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment Requirements: - Minimum 3 years of operating room experience required - Previous travel healthcare experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered - Active New York state license required in hand prior to submittal - Current BLS and CNOR certifications required - Epic EMR experience strongly preferred - Proficiency in orthopedic total joint and trauma, neurosurgery, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures - Must reside at least 75 miles from facility location - Limited time off requests; minimal RTO preferred Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers an exceptional opportunity for experienced surgical technologists seeking to expand their clinical expertise across multiple specialty areas.
