Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/20/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Orthopedic Job Details: • Work 36 or 48 hours per week with rotating day, evening, and night shift schedules • Float to different units as needed based on facility requirements • Work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts per unit needs • Charge nurse responsibilities as assigned • Care for patients with orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses • Must have 2 years of nursing experience • Orthopedic experience required • Telemetry experience and interpretation skills required • Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only) and ACLS • New York nursing license required (only NY licenses accepted) • Experience in Level 1 trauma facility preferred • Must demonstrate excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills • Ability to work effectively as a team player • Opportunities for education and professional growth available Facility: This major academic medical center operates a specialized orthopedic unit that focuses on trauma care, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic procedures.
