Job Title: Level II Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuromusculoskeletal Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shift Schedule - Day/Eve/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two (2) years experience required License: RN License (New York License ONLY) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Stepdown/PCU experience - High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience - Telemetry experience - Experience in Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3% NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS Insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator), VP shunts, seizures Description: The Level II Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of competent care based on established standards. This role includes responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member. The nurse will utilize clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research to guide care delivery. Experience in stepdown care is essential. Candidates must possess strong telemetry skills and high acuity experience. This nurse must be knowledgeable in the management of complex neurological and surgical patients.
