Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Schedule Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years of Registered Interventional Radiology Nursing experience License: New York RN license required Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association) required - ACLS (American Heart Association) required - Telemetry experience required Must-Have: - 2 years of Registered Interventional Radiology Nursing experience - Telemetry experience Description: This is a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department in a level 1 trauma center. We cater to inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan. Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team and are responsible for the pre-procedural preparation of patients. Post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care is also included. Experience with gastrointestinal post-procedural care is preferred but not required. This is an exciting opportunity for nurses who want to work in the high-energy environment of diagnostic imaging. We specialize in providing care for patients undergoing various imaging procedures including CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-rays, and ultrasounds. Good communication skills and the ability to think critically are essential. Ideal candidates will be team-oriented, enthusiastic, flexible, and organized. Registered Nurses will be responsible for pre/post care and 23-hour care for patients. Care includes overnight boarding for patients pre or post-procedure.
