Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/03/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n Registered Nurse - PCU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM /n• 13-week contract assignment /n• Every other weekend requirement /n• Must be available to work every other holiday when needed /n• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 with adults and geriatrics /n• Floating required within skillset to ICU and/or medical surgical units /n• Must wear navy blue and white scrub combinations /n• EPIC charting experience required /n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS /n• Active New York Single State RN license required (pending licenses not accepted) /n• Minimum 1 year of experience required /n• Travel experience required /n• Must live more than 75 miles from facility /n• Provide telemetry and stepdown-level care for PCU patients /n• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response capabilities /n• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias using Rapid Response/Code teams /n• Administer oxygen via nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management /n• Manage cardiac drips without titration and blood product administration /n• Central and peripheral line care and management /n• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions /n• Care for long-term pulmonary patients, ENT surgery patients, and surgical procedures requiring stepdown care /n• 16-hour orientation with up to 5 billable hours for pre-start modules /n/n Facility: /n This 528-bed acute care teaching facility is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center.
