NY Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend
and holiday availability. Job Description The Registered Nurse in
the Cardio Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) plays a vital role
in providing expert care for critically ill cardiac surgery
patients. Responsibilities include ventilator management, managing
central lines, and caring for patients requiring advanced cardiac
device management. Responsibilities Manage arterial lines, central
lines, and PICC lines. Administer blood products and medications,
including emergency medications. Provide care for ventilated
patients and assist with chest tube insertion and removal.
Interpret arterial blood gas results and dysrhythmias. Monitor and
titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips. Collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery. Required
Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active New York Single
State RN license (NY is not Compact). ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
certifications required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a
CVICU or similar setting preferred. EPIC charting experience is a
