Job Description ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, flexible - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Observation Unit/n/n Location/n New York /n/nAssignment Duration/n This is a 13-week contract position. /n/nSchedule/n Shifts include Days, Evenings, Nights, and Rotating Schedules. On Call and weekend coverage as needed. /n/nJob Description/n The Observation unit cares for adult patients needing additional observation to determine if the patient's condition is serious enough for admission to the hospital or if the patient can be treated and released home safely. The Observation unit is a fast-paced environment that turns over 20 to 27 patients per day, with an average length of stay of 27 hours. The unit has 24/7 provider coverage, caring for a diverse adult population of both emergency observation and admitted boarding patients. These patients will range from short stay to full admissions. /n/nResponsibilities/n Provide high-quality nursing care in a rapidly changing environment, including: /n /n - Conducting patient assessments to evaluate their condition. /n - Administering medications and treatments as prescribed. /n - Monitoring patient vital signs and responding appropriately to changes. /n - Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans. /n - Educating patients and their families regarding health conditions and care plans. /n /n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n /n - Current RN License in New York (NY License ONLY) /n - Minimum of two years of Med/Surg experience. /n - Telemetry experience required. /n - BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY) required. /n - NIHSS certification preferred. /n /n/nWhy ARMStaffing?/n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
