Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiology Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 01/20/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, flexible - Employment Type: Travel X-Ray Technologist - General X-Ray Tech - Days & Weekends/n/n Assignment Duration/n This is a 13-week contract position. /n/nSchedule/n 5x8 hours, including days, weekends, on-call, callbacks, and holidays based on unit needs. Must be able to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts. /n/nJob Description/n The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures and ensuring patient safety during x-ray exams. This role involves collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to procedures. /n - Utilize x-ray equipment to capture images of bones, tissues, and organs as directed by physicians. /n - Explain x-ray procedures to patients and address their inquiries. /n - Position patients appropriately, including those with limited mobility. /n - Ensure safe handling of radiologic equipment, maintaining low exposure levels for patients. /n - Monitor patient status and adapt procedures to meet age-specific needs. /n - Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation. /n - Report any equipment issues promptly to management. /n - Utilize electronic patient information systems to verify patient data and ensure accuracy. /n - Maintain proper record-keeping by identifying images and ensuring correct upload to the PACS system. /n /n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n /n - Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology. /n - Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). /n - NYS license (or ability to obtain prior to starting). /n - Minimum of 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist. /n - Level 1 trauma center experience preferred. /n - Experience using c-arm/o-arm within the past 8 months. /n - BLS certification from the American Heart Association. /n - Ability to lift/move patients and stand for extended periods. /n - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills. /n - Compassionate disposition and ability to work as a team player. /n /n/nWhy ARMStaffing?/n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
