Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night shift,
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 13-week assignment with every other weekend
requirement Highlights: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
specializing in post-cardiac surgery, heart transplant, and
advanced cardiac device management Patient ratio of 1:2 with
occasional 1:1 assignments based on acuity 16-bed unit caring for
complex patients including ECMO, LVAD/RVAD, IABP, Impella, CRRT,
and multi-organ failure EPIC charting system required; 24 hours of
orientation provided Magnet-recognized, 528-bed acute care teaching
facility with Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center
certification Collaborative multidisciplinary team with 24/7
provider coverage and comprehensive support services Requirements:
Active New York Single State RN license in hand prior to submission
(NY is not a Compact state; pending licenses not accepted) Minimum
2 years of ICU nursing experience; previous travel nursing
experience required Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
EPIC charting experience is mandatory Must reside more than 75
miles from the facility Proficiency in arterial line management,
central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, and
ventilator management Experience with advanced cardiac devices
including CABG, Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, and Swan-Ganz monitoring
Competency in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV
sedation and paralytics, and CVVHD/CRRT Strong skills in
dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKG acquisition, ABG
interpretation, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
Willingness to float within skillset to other ICU areas as needed
Availability to work every other holiday if required Why It's a
