ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/20/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM for 13 weeks • Patient ratio of 1:5 caring for adults and geriatrics with all emergency type diagnoses • Every other weekend requirement • Must be available to work every other holiday if needed • Floating required within skillset • Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy blue and white • 24 hours of orientation provided • EPIC charting experience required • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Active New York Single State RN license required (NY is not Compact) • Minimum 1 year of experience required • Must have skills in IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs, IV vasopressors • CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management experience required • Experience with CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI required • Cardiac monitoring with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias • Emergency care experience including adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, ortho trauma • Knowledge of isolation precautions, triage, and pediatric spinal cord injury • Work with special equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment • RNs within 75 miles of facility not accepted • First-time travelers accepted Facility: This 528-bed acute care teaching facility features a state-of-the-art emergency department with a centralized layout for rapid patient care and advanced diagnostic technology. The facility is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center. The emergency department includes a dedicated pediatric ED, a discreet crisis intervention unit, and a trauma suite located steps from the ambulance entrance for immediate stabilization of critical patients.
