ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/03/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • 13-week contract assignment • Every other weekend requirement • Must be available to work every other holiday when needed • Patient ratios of 1:4-5 with adults and geriatrics • Floating required within skillset to ICU and/or medical surgical units • Must wear navy blue and white scrub combinations • EPIC charting experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Active New York Single State RN license required (pending licenses not accepted) • Minimum 1 year of experience required • Travel experience required • Must live more than 75 miles from facility • Provide telemetry and stepdown-level care for PCU patients • Cardiac monitoring and emergency response capabilities • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias using Rapid Response/Code teams • Administer oxygen via nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management • Manage cardiac drips without titration and blood product administration • Central and peripheral line care and management • IV therapy, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions • Care for long-term pulmonary patients, ENT surgery patients, and surgical procedures requiring stepdown care • 16-hour orientation with up to 5 billable hours for pre-start modules Facility: This 528-bed acute care teaching facility is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center.
