Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Special Procedures Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 01/05/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: SMH IR Rad Tech - SMH Job Details: • Work 5x8-hour day shifts with on-call, callback, and holiday coverage per unit needs • Select exposure factors and positioning to consistently produce diagnostic quality radiologic images • Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist radiologist during procedures • Demonstrate competence in operating all equipment and report malfunctions to manager or lead • Complete all assigned procedures in a timely manner and assist with room turnover • Maintain medication security to authorized personnel only • Provide healthcare services to patients of all age groups • Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS • Answer technical telephone inquiries from physicians and hospital personnel • Participate in hospital performance improvement activities when warranted • Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) • NYS Technician License required (or able to obtain prior to start) • Two years of experience required • VIR Certified preferred • Interventional Radiology experience required Facility: This major academic medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services with a focus on advanced interventional radiology procedures.
