Job Description:
Job Title: Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession:
RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Hours
per Shift: 12 hours (7 AM to 7 PM) Experience: Two years of
experience preferred License: RN License (New York only)
Certifications: BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
Must-Have: Experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred; able to
scrub and circulate Description: The Adult Cardiac Operating Room
cares for a wide variety of patients. Procedures include CABGs,
TAVIs, and heart failure management. This includes the use of VADs,
ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants. The
multidisciplinary approach involves caring for patients of all
ages. Candidates must have two years of experience or OR experience
in a Level 1 trauma center. Candidates should be able to scrub and
circulate. BLS Certification from the American Heart Association is
required.
