Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position
in New York with a current NY RN license and Epic experience
required. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry
unit with 26 beds - Care for patients with CHF, acute MI,
post-device care (such as pacemakers), and arrhythmias - Performs
cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of
dysrhythmias - Works with rapid response and code teams - IV
therapy and phlebotomy including peripheral line care and
management - Respiratory interventions including nasal cannula,
oxygen masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway
management - Epic EMR is used and Epic experience is required -
Rotating day and night 12-hour shifts (3x12), including every other
weekend and some holidays - Floating to other units is required -
First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Navy and white scrubs
are required - Care includes isolation precautions and emergency
response duties - Modules required pre-start, up to 5 hours
billable - Return staff must have at least 1 year since last
assignment - RTO (time off) requests must be included at the time
of application Requirements - Active NY RN license in hand is
required for consideration - Current BLS and ACLS certifications
are required - Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience - Epic
EMR charting experience is required - Must live more than 75 miles
from the facility location - Ability to interpret and manage
