Traveler is seeking a Cardiovascular ICU RN with at least one year
of experience and a NY RN license for a night shift position.
Responsibilities - Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a
hospital setting - 16-bed unit caring for patients with sepsis,
ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, overdose, multi-organ failure,
pre-VAD workups, post-cardiac arrest, targeted temperature
management, respiratory failure, shock, alcohol withdrawal, and
more - Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:2, may be 1:1 based on
acuity - Specialized procedures and equipment include CRRT, EKOS,
IABP, ECMO, and Impella - 4x12 hour night shifts (1900-0730) -
Every other weekend required - Must be available for holiday
coverage - Floating required as needed - EPIC EMR experience is
required - Provide advanced nursing care for critically ill
cardiovascular patients - Collaborate closely with a
multidisciplinary team - Pre-assignment modules must be completed
before start - Return staff must have a 1-year separation before
being eligible - Must provide two professional references from
supervisors within the last two years - All scheduling requests,
including time off, must be declared in advance - Holiday and
weekend coverage is mandatory for this role Requirements - Active
NY RN license in hand required - Minimum 1 year of recent
Cardiovascular ICU experience - Current BLS and ACLS certifications
required - EPIC charting experience required - Must live more than
75 miles from the facility - First time travelers will be
