Responsibilities - Work in the Emergency Department with both adult and pediatric patient populations - Mixed/shared acuity levels with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 - Evening shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 15:00 to 03:00 - Every other weekend is required - Floating required when census warrants - Epic charting required - Primary responsibilities include delivering emergent care, medication administration, multisystem support, and emergency interventions to diverse patient groups - Scrub color is any combination of navy and white - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Minimal RTO is requested; all time off must be requested up front - Holiday coverage may be required per unit needs - Modules must be completed prior to start and may require up to 10 hours of completion time - Return staff must have at least 1 year since last assignment at this facility - Three call-off shifts are permitted per 13-week assignment Requirements - Active NY RN license in hand is required - Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS - Experience with Epic EMR required - Proven ability to perform in high-acuity settings including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV starts, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, CVA management, and isolation precautions - Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621724.
