Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/18/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a current NY license and proficiency in Epic EMR. Responsibilities - Position is based in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a tertiary care hospital - Day shift schedule with 3 weeks of night shifts over a 13-week contract - Weekend shifts are required every other weekend - Nurses may be assigned to different units within Med/Surg Tele at the time of offer - Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:7 - Epic EMR is used and proficiency is required - Floating between units is required - Navy and white scrubs are required - Modules must be completed prior to start; up to 5 hours are billable - Holiday shifts are required; no requests off for Labor Day are accepted - First-time travelers (with prior US travel assignment) are considered - Return staff must wait one year before reapplying Requirements - Active NY RN license in hand is required - At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience - Experience in an acute care setting within the last 6 months - Proficiency with Epic EMR is required - Prior US travel assignment experience required (first-time travelers to the US are not accepted) - Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619032.
