Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/09/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with a NY license and Epic experience for a night shift position caring for post-cardiac intervention patients. Responsibilities - Work in a 26-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a tertiary care hospital - Patient population includes individuals post PCI, pacemaker, AICD, post-MI, and those requiring cardiac pharmacologic interventions - Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 or 1:7 - Care involves cardiac monitoring, emergency response, IV therapy, and non-invasive airway management - Unit uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience is required - Schedule is four 12-hour night shifts per week, including every other weekend - Floating to other units is required - Responsibilities include rapid response/code participation, peripheral IV management, respiratory device use, and maintaining isolation precautions - Any combination of navy and white scrubs may be worn - Holiday time off is not permitted from December 24th to 28th - First time travelers are welcome to apply - A one-year break is required for former staff before being eligible for consideration - Pre-assignment modules must be completed prior to start Requirements - Active NY RN license in hand is required - Minimum of 1 year recent MS/Tele RN experience - Current BLS certification required - Experience interpreting and managing cardiac dysrhythmias required - Epic EMR experience is a hard requirement - Must live more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628413.
