Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED RN) $3,024 Weekly Pay | 13-Week Assignment | Finger Lakes Region, NY Position Type:Contract – Travel Location:Finger Lakes Region, New York State Assignment Length:13 Weeks Hours:Full-time, Day/Night/Weekend/Holiday Rotational (3x12s) 2 On Call shifts per 4 weeks. If taking 48-hour contract, no On Call required. Hourly Rate:$63 per hour Weekly Gross Pay:$3,024 per week Additional Compensation:Tax-free stipends available for those who qualify Benefits:401(k) with company match, medical benefits available Position Overview: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ED RN) applies advanced nursing theory, technical expertise, and effective communication skills to provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients. The ED Nurse delivers high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families across all age groups in urgent and emergent situations. The ED RN applies evidence-based nursing practice, advanced critical thinking, and expert communication to prioritize and provide care, implement appropriate interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in managing both life-threatening emergencies and routine acute concerns, using a relationship-based care approach to address not only clinical needs but also emotional, psychological, and cultural well-being.Key Responsibilities: - Triage & Initial Assessment - Initiate triage using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) standards to assign priority of care. - Establish rapport with patients and families, address comfort and communication needs, and provide frequent clinical updates. - Clinical Management - Conduct primary and secondary assessments to identify deviations from baseline and appropriate clinical interventions. - Interpret patient data from EMS reports, direct observation, and family input to guide treatment decisions. - Continuously reassess patients and respond to evolving clinical conditions. - Patient & Family Support - Recognize and respond to psychosocial and safety concerns including suspected abuse or domestic violence. - Deliver individualized patient education and discharge instructions, structured around learning styles and comprehension. - Team Collaboration & Leadership - Promote a team-based environment rooted in trust, respect, and shared goals. - Delegate tasks appropriately and contribute to the professional development of peers. - Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety protocols. - Healing Environment - Foster a compassionate care setting that places the patient and family at the center. - Maintain active communication, anticipate needs, and keep information boards current throughout the ED stayQualifications: - Current and validRegistered Nurse (RN) licensein the State of New York - Current BLS and ACLS Certification (must be from AHA or RQI) - Must have a minimum of 1 year acute hospital experience as an RN Why Choose This Assignment?
