WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements ~ Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit ~ Discipline: RN ~ Duration: 13 weeks ~36 hours per week ~ Shift: 12 hours, days ~ Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Step-Down RN for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Rochester, NY. Job Function: ~ Day Shift / Evening Shift / Night Shift. ~3x12. ~ Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process based upon theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards. ~ Assesses and evaluates patient care needs and applies critical thinking skills in patient care management. ~ Integrates relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care. ~ Prioritizes all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning “after hospital care” and delegating to others as appropriate. Job Requirements: ~ Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. ~ Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of New York. ~2 years of acute ICU/CCU Stepdown RN experience required; ICU/CCU background strongly preferred but not mandatory. ~ BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association required. ~2 years of Medical/Surgical experience. ~ Telemetry experience required.
