Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Med/Surg Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Rochester, NY. Travelers can earn up to $2,232 per week for this role. Job Function: Day Shift or Night Shift. 3x12 or 4x12. Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse. Educates patients on surgical procedures; Records patients’ medical information and vital signs. Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays. Job Requirements: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). Current RN license for the state of New York. 2 years of acute Med/Surg RN experience required. BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required. Epic experience required. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred.
