Job Title: Level 2 Registered Nurse - ICU Stepdown Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shift Schedule Hours per Shift: 12.0 Experience: - Two (2) years of experience required - Stepdown/PCU experience required License: - RN License (New York only) Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association) - ACLS (American Heart Association) - Telemetry experience required Must-Have: - High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience - Experience with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3% NS, and cardene drips - Experience with arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS insertion, VP shunts, and seizures Description: Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence-based practice, the Level 2 Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of competent care based on established standards. The Level 2 Registered Nurse assumes an expanded role, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities. MUST HAVE STEPDOWN EXPERIENCE.
