Volt is immediately hiring for a Medical Sonographer in Syracuse NY.

As a Medical Sonographer you will:
Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment
Ensure patient safety during exams
Review patient medical history
Verify and complete sonography orders
Determine exposure factors based on patient specifics
Evaluate patient readiness and ability to undergo exams
Communicate clearly with patients
Use proper positioning tools and techniques for patient comfort and safety
Conduct diagnostic sonography exams as ordered
Apply professional judgment to capture accurate images
Refer diagnostic or treatment questions to appropriate healthcare professionals
Acquire additional images as needed for diagnosis
Maintain records, logs, and reports
Perform other related duties as needed
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
Provide preliminary reports for interpreting physicians

This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity. Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

The ideal candidate will have:
1-3 years' experience in outpatient, preferred. A minimum of six months experience following graduation is preferred.
Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) preferred.
Valid registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)is required or registry eligible. If registry eligible, must attain registration within 6 months of employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved American Heart Association training center must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Salary: $34.00 to $45.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
