Career Start is seeking a FT Day or FT/PT Evening *Psychiatric RN Youth Residential Program* (with weekend rotation) for a residential treatment center supporting children and adolescents about 22 miles from Syracuse, NY. As an RN you will be responsible for the evaluation and delivery of quality health care services to children and youth, and work to maintain high standards of quality both individually and in collaboration with the rest of the Hillside Nursing staff.*Psychiatric RN Youth Residential Program Responsibilities:** Perform assessments on clients with illness, injury, or health related/psychological concerns* Report any significant finding to the appropriate medical provider and guardian, when appropriate* Implement the prescribed intervention method* Transcribe all information accurately and efficiently and carry out orders for treatment as medically prescribed* Administer medication safely, accurately, and per NYS and agency guidelines* Monitor for signs of adverse reactions to medications and/or treatments* Effectively triage phone calls regarding health-related concerns of youth in care* Support other members of the nursing team to assure quality care is delivered in an effective and timely manner* Oversee and supervise care provided by the LPN and other health office staff* Provide assessments, monitor and care for the youth in the event of a physical restraint* Administer first-aid during emergency situations and coordinate patient care until EMS arrives or the youth is transported to an emergency department*Psychiatric RN Youth Residential Program Requirements:** Minimum of an Associates degree from an accredited Nursing Program and NYS license as a Registered Nurse* Adolescent Psych and/or Pediatric Experience is preferred.* Must have a valid New York State Driver's License and must meet agency driving and insurance standardsJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $33.00 - $47.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* Addiction Medicine* Pediatrics* PsychiatryPhysical Setting:* Community health centerSupplemental Pay:* Differential pay* Overtime pay* Signing bonusExperience:* Psychiatric care: 2 years (Preferred)* Adolescents: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: In personby Jobble
