*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surgical nursing and demonstrate exceptional clinical skills. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients undergoing surgical procedures.*Responsibilities** Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.* Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments and support as needed.* Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition before, during, and after surgery.* Administer medications as per established protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations.* Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examinations.* Implement discharge planning for patients post-surgery, ensuring they understand their care instructions.* Provide catheter care and support for geriatric patients as required.* Maintain compliance with established standards of care and safety protocols within the operating room.*Requirements** Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.* Current BLS required* Experience in an operating room setting is preferred; travel nursing experience is a plus.* Pediatric experience preferred* Knowledge of medication administration standards and practices.* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams.* Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a focus on patient safety and comfort.* Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to industry standards.Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals where you can make a meaningful impact on patient care!Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $68.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* SurgeryWork Location: In personby Jobble
