*Job Title: SMH Level 2 RN ICU Stepdown** Position: RN ICU Stepdown* Location: Rochester, NY* Job Type: Full-Time* Duration: 13 Weeks* Schedule: Rotating Shift (Days/Evenings/Nights)* Hours per Day: 12* Days per Week: 3*Short Description:*The Level II Registered Nurse in the ICU Stepdown unit is responsible for providing competent, compassionate care based on established standards through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research-based evidence. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, this role involves an expanded scope of responsibilities, including serving as a charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member as needed.*Key Responsibilities:** Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with unit standards.* Perform frequent Q1 neuro checks and manage EVDs, lumbar drains, and sub-dural drains.* Administer and manage critical medications such as 3% NS and cardene drips.* Monitor and maintain arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coils/clips, and DBS insertions.* Act as a charge nurse, preceptor, or committee member as required.* Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.* Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.* Participate in continuous professional development and training.*Experience & Qualifications:** *Stepdown/PCU Experience:* Required* *High Acuity Stroke and Neurosurgery Experience:* Required* *Telemetry Experience:* Required* *Registered Nurse (RN) License:* NY License ONLY* *Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification:* Required* *Experience:* Minimum of two (2) years*About us :*Infosage System is uniquely positioned to meet your specialized staffing needs.
