Shift - Every Other Weekend/HolidayABOUT THE UNIT:Rochester General
Hospital is a 528-bed tertiary care hospital that has been serving
the residents of the Rochester Region and beyond since 1847.
Rochester General Hospital offers primary medical care and a broad
range of specialties. Rochester General Hospital's medical staff
includes over 1,000 primary care physicians and specialists, many
of whom have offices at the hospital and throughout the
community.The 5100 Unit is a 26 bed Unit, specializing in the care
of patients post MI, post Cath lab procedures (TAVR, PCI), post
device care (pacemakers/AICDs), and patients with CHF or
arrhythmias requiring cardiac drips. Acts as a sister Unit to
5200.-- The Unit features:
- All patient rooms equipped with monitors for continuous
telemetry, blood pressure, and oxygen readings--
- Open space with good visualization of all telemetry monitors
outside of rooms
- Cardiac trained LPNs and PCTs on the unit to help with nursing
care
- Self-scheduling utilized, prioritize a work life balance
- Easy advancement on clinical ladder at 6 months--

- Patient Care & Service. Promote and restore patients' health by
completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and
multidisciplinary team members; performing various treatment
procedures; providing physical, educational and emotional support
to patients, friends and families; supervising assigned team
members
- Planning & Communication. Develop and document individualized
care plans customized for each patient's unique needs, with support
from the interdisciplinary health team as needed; maintain
effective communication to convey patient health status, treatment
plans and progress
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management. Demonstrate
proficient use of an EHR - including accurate patient and provider
documentation and communication
- Compliance. Adhere to required department and system protocols,
regulations (local, state, federal) and education requirements
EDUCATION AS: Nursing (Required) LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS BLS -
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA); RN -
Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
