SUMMARY

As a Dental Assistant, your ability to anticipate needs, maintain a sterile office environment and keep accurate records greatly contributes to the success of the dentist and the satisfaction of the patient.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Dental Group at St. Mary's

DEPARTMENT: Dentistry

SCHEDULE: Day (Monday - Friday)

ATTRIBUTES

• Excellent oral and written communication skills for routine interaction with staff, patients and visitors
• Completion of a NYS approved Dental Assistant Licensure Qualifying Program preferred.
• Dental Assistant Certification preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Dental Assistance. Prepare dental supplies necessary for each patient; anticipate dentist needs for instrumentation and materials during the procedural treatment on the patient; assist with x-rays, fillings and positioning suction tubes
  • Sterilization & Maintenance. Clean and sterilize all dental instruments following proper procedures
  • Documentation & Coordination.
