Job Description: Sign-On Bonus: Earn up to $3,000 based on experience SUMMARY As a Nurse (LPN) in Hemodialysis, your specialized skill set and ability to collaborate with the Registered Nurse is vital to exceptional patient care. STATUS: Full Time LOCATION: 370 East Ridge Road Rochester NY DEPARTMENT: Outpatient Dialysis SCHEDULE: Day and Evening split shift with an every other Saturday rotation ATTRIBUTESStrong communication, customer service and interpersonal skillsWillingness and ability to work early morning shiftsFriendly, compassionate and patient focused RESPONSIBILITIES Patient Care & Evaluation. Conduct a thorough assessment of each patient's medical status upon admission and throughout the patient's course of treatment; provide regular patient status updatesTreatment Administration. Assist in the implementation of the patient's treatment plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN); initiate and discontinue dialysis treatments using multiple access sites; administer IVP medications to dialysis patientsDocumentation. Complete required documentation in an accurate and timely manner Nurse, in accordance with established plans. Key Responsibilities: The LPN working in Hemodialysis responsibilities include application/mastery of skills in area of specialization, guidance and general oversight to less experienced employees; may train new employees. The duties and tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex issues, patient cases or technical skills.---Conducts and documents a thorough assessment of each patient's medical status upon admission and throughout the patient's course of treatment.---Assists in the implementation of the patient's treatment plan under the direction of the RN.
