Job Description Summary

The School of Business and Leadership at Nazareth College in Rochester, New York, is searching for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Accounting to join the team beginning in the academic year 2023-24. This is a full-time position.

The SBL is an innovative and progressive business school with a strong focus on the scholarship of teaching and learning. Our mission is to help students achieve their personal and professional goals.

The School has a robust and broad portfolio of undergraduate and graduate program offerings, and is continuing to develop and refine inter-disciplinary programs and courses and certificate based credentials to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse learner population.

Candidates must have the ability to teach courses in accounting and data analytics. Courses could include Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Taxation or Auditing, Financial Statement Analysis, and Business Analytics. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with the ability to teach data analytics and modeling in the accounting, finance and human resource disciplines.

The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching and learning, student advisement, contribute to their academic discipline in a relevant manner, and engage with colleagues, the local community, alumni, and external advisory councils.

Required Education

A Master's degree in a relevant field with a CPA designation. An earned doctorate is preferred. Professional experience in the field, and college-level teaching experience will be considered in lieu of a doctorate.













Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualified candidates should demonstrate experience in curriculum development, a strong digital acumen and knowledge of the CPA evolution.









Preferred Qualifications

A documented record of teaching effectiveness and demonstrated success in working with diverse student populations is desirable.
