Job Description:

Psychiatric-Mental Health opening in Lyons, New York. Adelphi is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide coverage at a facility located in Wayne County, NY. The ideal candidate should have experience providing direct psychiatry services including treatment and conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for competency restoration. The services are telehealth with flexible coverage. However, the acceptable frequency of services provided should be no less than once weekly. The virtual visits are currently 4 per month on Wednesday afternoons.

Requirements:

Responsibilities
--- Provide psychiatric/telepsychiatry services to residents upon staff referral/ recommendation
--- Provide face-to-face time (via video conference or via in person) with residents for regular and follow-up visits
--- Review resident/ patient chart for new patient referrals
--- Review resident's medication regime
--- Document and review medication for drug-drug interactions
--- Document and chart visits with residents
--- Meet with residents and family members to discuss the condition and any potential remedies
--- Return staff emails and calls
--- Work with facilities Nurse practitioners regarding residents' care plan
--- Participate in in-service education programs for appropriate nursing home staff upon request
