Job Description:
SUMMARY As a Nurse (LPN) in Hemodialysis, your specialized skill
set and ability to collaborate with the Registered Nurse is vital
to exceptional patient care.STATUS: Full TimeLOCATION: St Mary's
CampusDEPARTMENT: DialysisSCHEDULE: 12 hour shifts Day and Evenings
with 2 Saturday a month commitmentATTRIBUTESStrong communication,
customer service and interpersonal skillsWillingness and ability to
work early morning shiftsFriendly, compassionate and patient
focusedRESPONSIBILITIES Patient Care & Evaluation. Conduct a
thorough assessment of each patient s medical status upon admission
and throughout the patient s course of treatment; provide regular
patient status updatesTreatment Administration. Assist in the
implementation of the patient s treatment plan under the direction
of the Registered Nurse (RN); initiate and discontinue dialysis
treatments using multiple access sites; administer IVP medications
to dialysis patientsDocumentation. Complete required documentation
in an accurate and timely mannerNurse, in accordance with
established plans.Key Responsibilities: The LPN working in
Hemodialysis responsibilities include application/mastery of skills
in area of specialization, guidance and general oversight to less
experienced employees; may train new employees. The duties and
tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity. Serves as a
resource to others in the resolution of complex issues, patient
cases or technical skills. Conducts and documents a thorough
assessment of each patient s medical status upon admission and
throughout the patient s course of treatment. Assists in the
implementation of the patient s treatment plan under the direction
of the RN. EDUCATION LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS LPN - Licensed
Practical Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED); BLS
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA) Rochester
