Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. Currently, Helio Health's Rochester Inpatient program is located on University Avenue. Due to our success in the region, we are moving to a freshly renovated location on Brighton Henrietta Townline Road! Now called Pathways of Helio Health, this location will better serve the community at a larger 53 bed Inpatient Rehabilitation and Medically Supervised Detox program.The Nurse Practitioner will work on a Per-Diem basis out of Helio Health's Rochester Inpatient program.

Working Relationships: The Nurse Practitioner works independently under the administrative supervision of the Service Director and/or Program Director and the medical and clinical supervision of the Psychiatrist and/or the C.C.O. and Physician.The Nurse Practitioner works with patients, agency staff and volunteers, community agencies and other providers of medical/psychiatric services.
Responsibilities: Provide medical and psychiatric evaluation. Order routine lab work and diagnostic testing, if appropriate.Medically assess individuals' needed levels of care.Make appropriate medical and psychiatric referrals.Assist staff in understanding the patient's medical and psychiatric issues and needs under the medical and clinical supervision of the psychiatrist. Provide direct patient care of medical examination and monitoring, psychiatric consultation, implementation of medical orders, and treatment of psychiatric conditions. Serve on special review and quality assurance committees as assigned. Provide and document medical and psychiatric consultation, assessment, examination, treatment planning and review consistency with agency policy and requirements. Other related assignments and duties consistent with training and experience. Qualifications: Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner currently registered by the New York State Education Department. At least one year of experience in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. Have prescriptive authority and DEA number. Basic computer skills required.
