We are looking for a compassionate and understanding
psychiatrist with a strong desire to help people and improve their
daily lives. As a psychiatrist, you will evaluate, monitor, and
diagnose patients to determine treatment and recovery plans. You
will counsel patients, write prescriptions, and monitor patients
progress, while being compassionate and sensitive to their needs
and concerns. You will also work with patients primary physicians
and/ or social workers to continue recovery after treatment.
Treat both Children and adults.
Prescribe, direct, or administer psychotherapeutic treatments or
medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral
Treat patients using psychological therapies.
Prescribe treatments or therapies.
Prescribe medications. Collect medical information from patients,
family members, or other medical professionals.
Design individualized care plans, using a variety of
Counsel outpatients and other patients during office visits.
Record patient medical histories.
Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers,
psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment
plans and progress.
Analyze and evaluate patient data or test findings to diagnose
nature or extent of mental disorder.
Examine or conduct laboratory or diagnostic tests on patients to
provide information on general physical condition or mental
Advise patients on effects of health conditions or treatments.
Explain medical procedures or test results to patients or family
Analyze quantitative data to determine effectiveness of treatments
Prepare official health documents or records.
Prepare reports summarizing patient diagnostic or care
Bachelors degree in biology, pre-med, physical sciences,
psychology, or related field
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Licensed in the state of New York
Successful completion of U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)
or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination
Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology;
local state regulations and certifications, Continuing Medical
Education (CME), and Joint Commission for Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations requirements must be met
Four-year psychiatric residency
Participation in further medical education and professional
organization memberships are preferred
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Great interpersonal relations, communications,

Competitive compensation of $230,000 to $240,000 annually.
Full loaded benefits package.
No nights or weekends

Hours of operation
May work 5 8 hour days or 4 10 hour days.
