Job Description:

The OpportunityUnder the administrative direction of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and in collaboration with the Executive Team, this Leader is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the Benefit Resource, LLC ("BRI") compliance, business continuity (BC) & disaster recovery (DR), privacy and risk management programs. Compliance monitoring responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Section 132, Section 125, Section 105, Affordable Care Act, HIPAA/HITECH, CMS, OSHA, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, PHI and PCI regulations.--Responsibilities------------------Monitor current state and federal laws and regulations affecting employee benefit plans including, but not limited to, Section 132, Section 125, Section 105, Affordable Care Act, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, HSA, COBRA, PHI, PII, and PCI regulations------------------Oversee organization's Privacy Program including but not limited to development, implementation, and maintenance of Privacy policies and procedures, investigation and tracking of privacy incidents and reporting of inappropriate access and/or disclosure of protected health information according to HIPAA and applicable state/federal laws------------------Be responsible for Vendor Management program that determines vendor governance, contract management, and vendor compliance with a focus on reducing risks------------------Design, implement training and education programs for employees on relevant compliance topics and privacy.--Work with Information Security to assist (as needed) in Security Awareness, Training, and Education------------------Plans/conducts operational, financial, security and compliance audits to evaluate effectiveness of internal controls. Determines compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and remediate identified process/procedural gaps------------------Work with Information Technology and Security to develop and document risk mitigation action plans, along with recommendations to reduce information security risk.--Manage remediation, provide response, action plans in the event of a data security threat or issue------------------Review enterprise agreements and/or contracts ensuring alignment with organizational security and privacy requirements------------------Oversee the development and implementation of an Enterprise Risk Management program------------------Own the Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) program and lead Disaster Recovery exercises------------------Promote a data privacy culture by advocating best practices, advising employees on how to deliver compliance and informing key stakeholders on their obligation to adhere to those laws when dealing with personal dataEducation and Experience------------------Bachelor's degree required in a related field; Master's degree preferred------------------At least 5-7 years related experience with health data privacy and compliance------------------Experience working with federal and state laws and regulations concerning privacy------------------Able to comfortably read and interpret state and federal regulation------------------Certified in Healthcare Compliance ("CHC") preferred
