Learn more at?Job Description:The Sr. Specialist, Account Manager will work directly with the Africa Sales Team and US AFRICOM to support business development activities in the Africa Region as required. The position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Be the primary POC to Harris for the AFRICOM customerAchieving and exceeding annual revenue targetsMaintaining existing customer relationshipsDeveloping new opportunities and customers within the territoryProviding, presenting and interpreting design, application and service information to sales staff and customers.Assessing application of company products to meet customer needs.Preparing detailed product specifications to sales staff.Maintaining and managing international representative performanceDevelop and maintain key relationships with: Program Management, Product Line Managers, Sales Support, Africa Sales Team, Product Service, Field Engineering, ManufacturingDrive / manage the Africa USG Grant Aid pipelineUnderstand USG Grant Aid funding sources and business outlookBe responsible for the Africa USG Grant Aid orders forecastManage the ongoing business relationship with key strategic customers in AFRICOM and US Embassies around the Africa regionInterfaces and coordinates with AFRICOM, Sales, Harris International BD Team in DC, Systems Engineering, Program Management & Product Management to generate communications solutions in response to AFRICOM requests. Understand the features of Harris products as a benefit to individual and unique customers.Assist AFRICOM with system design, requirements definition, equipment selection/specification, etc. for upcoming requirements.Conducts analysis of customer (AFRICOM and end-user) requirements, ensuring Harris can meet customer needs with products, support and time-frames.Providing information and documentation to other departments to ensure that all orders in the assigned region are booked and tracked correctly.50% international travel requiredQualifications:Citizen of United States of America.Bachelor?s Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior related experience.Minimum of 4 years working in international sales.4 years in-depth systems experience developing and executing communication equipment installation and trainingIn depth Technical knowledge of Harris Communication Systems Products and SystemsHigh level of customer empathy (humble, supportive, customer focused)Preferred Additional Skills: Graduate Degree preferredGood business acumenMilitary Communications and/or Government / Public Services Communications backgroundCapability to capture orders, conduct staff coordination, channel management, business development, briefings, write white papers, interface with customers and work with a cross-functional team.Experience with North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa customers.Proven sales professional who has successfully sold other technical products to the international defense communityRecord of achieving complex sales into intelligent / informed customer environmentSuperior writing and presentation skills.Firsthand knowledge of Defense / Government Security MarketKnowledge in converting customer needs into a design for networking, integration and secure communications on tactical platformsAbility to represent the values and understand the goals of the AFRICOM Team and make decisions which align with these tenants.Please be aware that many of our positions require a security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.?
