Job Description: Harris Corporation is looking for a dynamic leader to assume overall technical leadership for its 570K sq ft world class Electronics' Manufacturing Facility located in Rochester NY. The successful leader will have a proven record of driving continuous improvement, leading technology insertion to ensure world class capabilities, as well as deep understanding and practical experience leading major new product developments and implementations. Key responsibilities include:* Lead a team responsible for design, procurement, implementation, tactical support and continuous improvement of PCBA, and mechanical assembly processes and automation.* New product development Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) for PCBA and assembly.* Partner with Operations and Engineering to seamlessly introduce new products.* Development of next-generation manufacturing concepts and technology roadmap, including new technology bench-marking, evaluation, and deployment.* Expertise in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.* Support divisional and Operations financial and productivity metrics and improvement goals.* Collaboration with Operations in the execution of production commitments. Qualifications:* Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline with experience in manufacturing and process engineering.* 15 + years of diverse manufacturing experience in the manufacture of complex electronics, circuit board assembly (SMT), and/or electro-mechanical assemblies Preferred Additional Skills:* Experience leading the deployment of new manufacturing technologies* Demonstrated track record working in cross-functional teams and influencing organizational change* Masters or advanced engineering degree* Working familiarity with CAD and other software-based tools to improve manufacturability (Valor)* Ability to develop and build a high performing organization* Ability to develop and manage organizational budgets* Demonstrated experience in Lean principles Please be aware that many of our positions require a security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
