City Rochester State Minnesota Telecommute No Department Mayo Clinic Stores Position description The Director is responsible for strategic planning and operational leadership for the collective Mayo Clinic Stores across the enterprise. Essential functions include business strategy, employee management, inventory analysis, insurance billing, product coordination, visual merchandising, and cost management. Much of this work is self-directed or identified by developing a strong understanding of GBS business strategy in alignment with Mayo Clinic retail store and e-commerce strategies. Individuals must have demonstrated business acumen, medical product experience, ability to develop and execute business strategy and expense management tactics, ability to prioritize strategic and operational initiatives, and make recommendations for organizational change. This leadership role is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional partners to manage all aspects of the e-Commerce business including, business planning, content strategy and development, promotional campaigns and other online marketing, website design, customer service, web analytics and web technologies. The Director participates in the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans with other members of the cross functional team supporting the GBS and Mayo Clinic e-Commerce strategy. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is required; Master's degree preferred. 5 or more years of experience in medical products, e-Commerce, retail, or similar industries. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in general business administration, budgeting, organizational development, and process improvement in a high growth/high change environment. Experience in healthcare and medical products preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff on multiple teams. Strong communications and interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with high-level contacts within and outside of Mayo Clinic. Additional qualifications Experience with business to consumer and business to business e-Commerce and retail operations. Extensive knowledge of e-Commerce technology and sophisticated analytics. Requires demonstrated people and project leadership ability along with problem-solving and decision-making skills to accurately and fully assess the impact of internal and external trends relating to products and programs. Excellent communication skills to effectively deliver presentations as well as communicate clearly and succinctly in writing. Exemption status Exempt Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $4822.40, based on a full-time position. Benefits eligible Yes Schedule Full Time Schedule details M-F, day shift. Approximately 20% travel required; primarily regional travel, though occasionally national. Preference for position to be located on the Rochester, MN campus. Alternatively, position may be located at any of the following Mayo Clinic Health System sites: Albert Lea, Austin, Eau Claire, La Crosse or Mankato.
